Code of Conduct
At IPOP, we're building a community where everyone belongs.
This code of conduct works alongside our facility rules to keep the vibe welcoming, safe & fun for all.
Be Inclusive: Treat everyone with respect regardless of age, gender, orientation, race, ability, or skill level. Everyone is welcome at IPOP.
Play Fair: Make honest line calls. When in doubt, give the benefit to your opponent.
Keep It Fun: Win with grace, lose with dignity. No outbursts, racket throwing, or aggressive behaviour on the courts.
Welcome All Levels: Be patient with newer players & encourage those learning the game. Remember, everyone starts somewhere.
Rotate Respectfully: During Open Play, follow the rotation system & give everyone a fair chance to get on the court.
Communicate Kindly: Use positive language & offer coaching only when asked. Unsolicited advice can feel more like criticism.
Stay Aware: Be mindful of your surroundings on & off the court. Call out "Ball on court!" when returning stray balls.
Clean Up After Yourself: Pick up your wrappers, tape, bottles & personal items. Leave the court & lounge areas the way you found them.
Handle Disputes Gracefully: Resolve disagreements calmly. If needed, ask an IPOP staff member to help mediate.
Two Warnings & You're Out: Break the code & you'll get a friendly chat from staff. Do it again & you'll be banished from IPOP to a lifetime of lonesome pickling. Don't be that person.
Lead by Example: You set the tone. A smile, a paddle tap & a "good game" go a long way in building our community.
