Court Reservations and Scheduling
How do I book a court or session at IPOP?
Create an account on CourtReserve by visiting ipop.fun, selecting your preferred location (Burnaby or Surrey), and following the prompts to register. Once registered, you can view court availability and book online. Please note that we have a 5-7 hour booking window.
What are the available session times and booking blocks?
Sessions are booked in 2-hour blocks with start times on even hours (e.g., 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM).
Can we book an odd-hour start time (e.g., 1:30 PM or 5:00 PM)?
No, odd-hour start times are not permitted as they disrupt scheduling blocks for prior and subsequent court sessions.
How far in advance can standard court reservations be made?
Standard public and member court reservations open 5 to 7 days in advance online (booking windows open at 9:00 AM 5 days prior).
How far in advance can corporate, private  or large group events be booked?
Corporate and private group bookings can be reserved 5 to 6 months in advance.
Where are you located, and is there parking?
We have two locations: Burnaby (Lougheed Mall) and Surrey (Central City Mall). Both offer free parking and are just minutes from a SkyTrain station, making it easy for your team to get there by car or transit.
Rates, Pricing & Payment Policies
What are standard court rental rates?
Standard court rates differ depending on peak/off peak times during the day and evening and also depends on the season, per hour per court. We also offer discounted  pricing for nonprofits, clubs and associations, especially during off peak hours. We have a different pricing tier for corporations and for-profit organizations. Depending on the number of courts, and whether it’s just courts or a full-facility buyout, prices vary. For a quote, you can contact us via our Group Booking Form
Are there off-peak rates or seasonal promotional pricing?
We do have varied rates for off-peak bookings, especially for larger groups and full facility buyouts. We also run special promotions from time to time where we offer various levels of discounts. These will be visible to you via your CourtReserve account, and we often keep our players informed via email promotions and display boards located in our facility. Do check these avenues from time to time to find out more about discounts and promotions.
Are taxes included in court rates?
No, GST is added to all court rental fees.
Do you offer special rates or support for non-profit, youth  and community groups?
Yes, discounted non-profit pricing is available. Custom accommodations can be evaluated and discussed based on organizational budgets.
What payment methods or billing processes apply to group bookings?
Groups can request an advance invoice or pay via their CourtReserve account before the event. Payment is expected to be completed as soon as  the courts are blocked for the event.
Court Allocations, Player Capacity, Full Facility Buyouts etc.
What is the maximum player capacity per court?
The maximum limit is 8 people per court per session, with 4 players on court at any given time and others rotating in.
How many courts should my group reserve based on group size?
Up to 8–10 players: 1–2 courts.
13 players: 2–3 courts.
40 players: 6–7 courts (or a full facility buyout).
Can I reserve courts for private group events or birthday parties?
Yes, courts can be reserved for private parties and celebrations. Standard side-by-side court reservations can be made, depending on court availability. A full full buyout along with the private event space is also possible at additional costs.
What is included in a Full Facility Buyout for private events?
Full buyouts include exclusive access to all 9 courts, the players lounge, and the events room. We also offer the activity rooms if requested (pickle-pong + multi-ball). Please note that any other request like event coordination, special event  liquor permit and coordination with regards to  tables, chairs, napkins, cutlery, coolers, etc. will be charged additionally.
Can guests tag along to events but not play?
Yes, we do allow guests to accompany players. However, please ensure that all the guests sign a guest waiver as soon as they enter the facility. This is mandatory for all guests regardless of the time they’re visiting.
Coaching & Intro Sessions
Do you offer "Intro to Pickleball" beginner sessions?
Yes, public "Intro to Pickleball" sessions are listed on the online calendar ($20 per person for a 2-hour session). This amount is also refunded into your account once you attend and complete the session. These sessions are open within a 5 day booking window. However, please note that due to high demand, it’s better to book early.
Can we request dedicated coaching for a private group?
Yes, dedicated coaches can be added to private court reservations (e.g., 1 coach per 6-8 players).
Are coaches necessary for large group bookings?
We highly recommend an IPOP coach for any booking which has a significant number of beginners. Pickleball does have a unique set of rules and guidelines and it’s best that players are set up in the proper manner by a certified coach. We also do not allow any formal coaching by others on our courts.
How many participants can attend a public Intro to Pickleball session?
Public intro sessions are capped at 4 players per session to ensure focused instruction.
Can I book a private Intro to Pickleball session with a coach for my group?
